The first edition of Mark’s Lips series, Butterfly Kiss consists of 600 individual butterflies that are uniquely contoured to the anatomy of a 6’ full pair of lips. Inspired by a play on words, the narrative alludes to the collective unconscious literal to the phrase “a butterfly kiss,” in which the kaleidoscope of butterflies is positioned in unison to communicate the warmth of representation.
Butterfly Kiss was purchased by The CURRENT Hotel in Tampa, Florida, a Marriott boutique hotel.
